If I were in Charge of the World
If I were in charge of the world,
every child would have a home.
Every child would be loved and cared for.
Every child could have the chance to go to college,
and evey child would play outside.
If I were in charge of the world,
everyone would have homes, food, clothing, and transportation.
No one would hurt or fear.
No one would wish themselves gone.
If I were in charge of the world,
Bosses would take care of their employees
as they already should.
The value of life would be important again,
and the world wouldn’t be so materialistic.
That’s how the world would be
if I were in charge.
Winter
Winter is fierce.
Ice is found everywhere.
Not many people are about when
Temperatures

Rare negatives.
I Wish
I wish I had
as much energy
as my dog
running on
the emerald grass
in my front yard.

Emily you have such a big heart! If only everyone felt like you do about doing for others! I really enjoyed your poems, especially your “If I Were in Charge of the World.” Great job!
I really like your poems! I like that you chose Winter as your acrostic poem. I would want the same for a child as you do. Those are important things for children to have in their lives.
Your poems are great, Emily! I like the ‘I Wish’ poem about your dog. My dog has tons of energy, too! Have a great weekend!
