Unpredictable is my middle name.
What I Like:
I like warm weather for many different reasons. It is a great time to go on vacation. Outside pools are open, so I can lie out in the sun and then jump in the pool to cool down. On warm rainy days, I open all the windows in the house and take a nap. Going to the beach when it is warm is wonderful too. I enjoy getting up early to look for sharks teeth on the beach, and when the sun is setting, I take pleasure in taking walks on the beach. This is ironic since I chose to go to college in the mountains.
I like everything that has to do with Disney. I love going to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. I own at least nineteen Disney movies, but my whole family owns many more than that. My favorite Disney character is Tinker Bell, and I own both of her movies. My much loved Walt Disney movie is the Little Mermaid. I have been watching Disney movies since I was very young, and my first trip to Walt Disney World was when I was two. I have grown up with Disney being all around me.
Traveling is something else I get pleasure from. It is so exciting to visit new places and see new things. I have been to Germany and Paris, France. There are many places I want to go as well. I would like to take a tour of Europe, and some specific places I look forward to visiting are Australia, Greece, and Italy. Every place has its own culture and to experience that is educational and fun. Something else I enjoy about traveling to different places is the new types of food I get to try.
I think food is fantastic. I have always loved to eat and will eat about anything, depending on my mood. I like everything from sweets, pasta, meats, vegetables, and much more. I enjoy eating crisp fresh salads and almost anything spicy. One of my weaknesses is fried foods such as mozzarella cheese sticks, fried mushrooms, and country fried steak with white gravy. I do have a sweet tooth though, and the thing I crave most is chocolate. Godiva chocolate with a raspberry filling has caught my attention for the time being.
What I Dislike:
Snakes and spiders are two of my biggest dislikes; they are also two of my biggest fears. If I find a spider in my room, I immediately kill it, if it isn’t very big, or I get whoever else is in the house to kill it. I get cold chills when I see or think about snakes, and I cringe at the fact that somewhere in this world, there is a snake that can eat me whole.
Something else that gives me goose bumps is clown figures. I like clowns when they are people dressed up as them, but clown figures are creepy to me. I feel as if their eyes follow me when I walk past them. Also, there are movies such as “It”, that make clowns appear freaky.
Root beer is probably my least favorite drink. I do not know exactly why, but my taste buds do not enjoy its flavor. It sort of has a licorice flavor to it, and I do not like black licorice.
I know this is odd for a girl, but I do not like the color pink. The color does not match well with my completion because it makes me look like I have rosy cheeks. Plus, almost every single girl that I know likes pink. I do not want to be like everyone else, so I my favorite color is purple.
What I Look Like:
My eyes are the color of moss, and I have long, chestnut brown hair that is as straight as a stick. I have light tan freckles across my nose that get darker in the summer. When I smile my big beautiful crooked smile, I have one dimple that appears on my right cheek. In the winter, I am as white as popcorn, but I get darker in the summer. I am a very petit person in height and body frame.
How I Act:
Most of the time, you will see me smiling. I have always been told that a smile can brighten an entire room, so I try to smile all the time. Sometimes it is difficult to smile constantly though.
At times, I can change my mood very quickly. I am moody like the weather. I can be in the best of moods, and then something can come along and make me as frustrated as a lightning storm, or as gloomy as the rain pouring down.
I try to keep a positive outlook on life. Thinking about the bad things in my life can make me irritated or depressed, and often times, that does not help any situation I am in. Thinking about the good things gives me more meaning to do something. I know I have bad things in my life, but the good things keep me going. They help me get out of bed in the morning. There are many people in the world that have more negative things in their life than I do, so I remind myself of what I do have and how much I appreciate those things.
I am a chocolate covered pretzel at times. I can be sweet and salty, but I also get twisted up. I am kind and caring to others, but if you bite a nerve the wrong way, I can be bitter like salt. Sometimes I am so worried about making everyone else happy; that I forget that it is good to treat myself.
What You Should Know About Me:
I grew up in Caldwell County, North Carolina, but lived in three different houses. My parents still live in Hickory, and I visit them often. I have an older brother, so I am considered the baby in the family. I have a toy poodle, Lola, who is white with a little apricot color on her ears and down her back. She is very rambunctious and loves to give kisses.
I have grown up around music, so you might catch me humming occasionally. I was in the children’s choir at my church. I took piano lessons for about two years when I was in elementary and middle school, and I was in the band in middle school where I played percussion instruments. In high school, I was in the chorus all four years. I love singing to songs on the radio, and I occasionally dance to whatever I am listening to.
I have a boyfriend who is in the United States Army. We have been together for three years and plan on getting married this coming December. He is currently stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, which is where I will be moving when we get married. Since we are so far away, we try to find ways to stay connected with each other. We try to talk on the phone every night, and often times, we have web chats on the computer, so we can see each other. We found a new way to connect as well; we read books, often the same ones, so we can talk about what we have read and what we think will happen.
Reading is a new enjoyment of mine. As a child I did not like to read, but now I know how important it is. When I find a good book, I get lost in it; I become a part of the story that unfolds as I read each page.
